Presently the Virginia Administrative Code includes regulations governing the Fire Inspector and Fire Investigator certification standards. They have not been updated since 1989. The Virginia Department of Fire Programs has started the thorough process of reviewing them and making necessary modifications. The initial step of a periodic review was submitted earlier this week. During the periodic review, individuals are able to provide public comment to Erin Rice either through email or mail (1005 Technology Park Drive, Glen Allen, VA 23059. The public comment period begins on December 25, 2017 and will run for 30 days. Below are links to the full text in the Administrative Code.
