Dear Mrs. Doerty,
More than 3,000 people die in home fires each year in the United States; most of whom are in homes without a working smoke alarm. We want to do our part to raise awareness about how working, properly installed smoke alarms can lower a person's chances of dying in a fire and help prevent these senseless deaths. The Anytown Fire Department's Smoke Alarm Program is designed to provide and install necessary smoke alarms in homes that do not have working smoke alarms. An additional benefit of this program is citizens can request an inspection of current smoke alarms for proper placement and operation. We also inspect your alarms if we are in your home for other situations.
Our Smoke Alarm Program is aimed at encouraging our community to practice fire safety by installing and maintaining smoke alarms, which can help save the lives of residents and fire fighters.
Anytown Realty and Bath Remodel can help us by providing funds to purchase and support this program or donating a quantity of improved 10 year smoke alarms for installation for those in need of this life saving device. A copy of our tax-exempt certificate is attached.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
Ronnie Black
Fire Chief Anytown Fire Department
