The Virginia State Firefighters Association is pleased to announce our that our partnership with Dominion Resources to make grants available to Volunteer Departments that are members of the VSFA has been renewed for 2025
This grant is to be used to purchase equipment that is used in fighting fires and training for firefighters.
Requirements of recipients – Grant recipients are expected to partner with community groups/organizations to provide safety information at least quarterly, throughout the year. This could be local schools, churches, retirement communities, assisted living facility, fairs, carnivals, etc. Dominion Resources is available to partner with the fire department in delivering this information.
Applicants to the Dominion Volunteer Fire Department Grant Program must:
Applicants must be a member of the Virginia State Firefighters Association.
Awards
The maximum amount of any grant will be $3,000.00. Applications must be complete .
Selection of Applicants
A selection committee will review all applications and make the awards.
Effort will be made to reach various geographic areas of Virginia.
Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Departments may reapply to the program each year they meet the requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
