Call For Presentations 2022

This is the official "call for presentations" for the First Responder Virginia Conference August 10-13, 2022 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. This is a joint conference of the Virginia State Firefighters Association (VSFA) and the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads (VAVRS)

Presentation subject matter can include but is not limited to: strategy and tactics; EMS, ICS, leadership; management; safety and health; recruitment & retention,  new initiatives/concepts/trends; case studies; etc.

Anyone interested in presenting at the Conference/Expo should submit the following information:

Typically, we will cover lodging and travel if necessary; and provide a full conference registration to chosen presenters. Except for special circumstances, reimbursement is for a maximum of one presenter for 1 to 1.5 hour sessions; and a maximum of two presenters for all other sessions.

Since the Conference/Expo is for the benefit of 1st responders, any expenses related to your presentation that can be absorbed by you or your organization would be greatly appreciated.

As a member of the VSFA, VAVRS and Virginia’s Emergency Services, this is a great opportunity to pass along your knowledge and expertise to the current and future leaders of the fire & EMS service.
